Yamaha AC Power Adaptor PA-300C Recall

Thank you very much for your continuous support of Yamaha products. We regret to inform you of a potential safety concern regarding the AC adaptor PA-300C (*). This notice also applies to PA-300C adaptors purchased separately as accessories.
Issue Description:
Issue: The power adaptor DC plug may generate abnormal heat, and lead to melting, smoke, or ignition (in rare instances the fire may also spread to the product itself).
Cause: The resin in the DC plug contained red phosphorus as a flame retardant (produced from July 2010 to May 2012). The red phosphorus which has low moisture resistance, reacted with the moisture in the resin, causing the DC plug to short out.
Measures: Red phosphorus addition was abolished in May 2012
Action Required:
To ensure your safety, we urgently request all customers using the affected adaptor (with the Serial No. listed below) to discontinue its use immediately. Please disconnect the plug from both the AC outlet and the products.

Note: While the adaptor may appear fine now, there is a possibility of future problems. We recommend taking precautionary measures by participating in the complimentary exchange service.
