On 10 July 2026, Yamaha Music (Asia) officially granted a license for the Yamaha Primary Course to Crestar Learning Centre (a member of Crestar Education Group). The signing ceremony was held at Yamaha Plaza Singapura, marking Crestar Learning Centre's return as an official Yamaha Music School licensee. The first intake is scheduled for October 2026.

The relationship between Yamaha Music (Asia) and Crestar Education Group dates back to the establishment of Yamaha Music (Asia) in 1966. At that time, all education businesses, including music education, preschool education, ballet and dance, and art programmes, were operated under Yamaha Music (Asia). In 2002, following Yamaha Music (Asia)'s transition to a wholly owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, these education businesses were separated to form what is now Crestar Education Group. This license agreement represents the renewal of a long-standing relationship between the two organisations after more than two decades.

As licensor, Yamaha Music (Asia) will provide the Yamaha Primary Course curriculum, teaching methodology, teacher training and operational support to ensure the consistent delivery of Yamaha's music education programme.

Looking ahead, both organisations will also explore opportunities to introduce the Yamaha Primary Course through Crestar Learning Centre's broader education network. The license agreement was signed by Ms. Kwan Peck Leng, Group Managing Director of Crestar Education Group, and Mr. Yoshinori Sasaki, Managing Director of Yamaha Music (Asia). Witnesses were Mr. Robert Leong Yuen Li, Group Chief Operating Officer of Crestar Education Group, and Mr. Stephen Chia, Division Leader of the Yamaha Music School Division.
