Yamaha Young Artists - Zhang Yifan, Jem, 16
Jem started learning the piano at the age of six. He sees I Play Yamaha as a great opportunity to play for more audiences, gain more experience in performing, as well as partake in masterclasses with professional musicians. Through this programme, he looks forward to meeting more people, audiences, and fellow musicians. Jem aspires to be a musician and performer like Lang Lang, his childhood idol whom he hopes to emulate. Other than piano, he enjoys listening to music, appreciates musicals and also enjoys reading history books. Jem began lessons at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) School of Young Talent at the age of 10, and he was under the tutelage of Mdm Fang Yuan, Principal and Educator of NAFA School of Young Talent for the past five years.
