Yamaha Artists - Ashley Chua, 17

Having played the piano for 12 years, Ashley aspires to become a concert pianist one day and spread the joys of classical music to an audience. She looks forward to the performance and learning opportunities that are part of the I Play Yamaha programme. Her main musical inspirations include the pianists Daniel Barenboim, Martha Argerich, and Arthur Rubinstein, who inspire her to adopt an expressive stylistic playing with a rounded tone from the piano. In her personal time, Ashley practises with a Yamaha piano, which she views as a reliable brand of good quality. Besides the piano, Ashley also enjoys playing the flute. Ashley joined Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) School of Young Talent at the age of six and has been under the tutelage of Mdm Fang Yuan, Principal and Educator of NAFA School of Young Talent for the last six years.
