Unprecedented Control

With the click of a button you can illuminate the guide lamps on select models of the student’s piano to properly instruct which keys you want them to play. The keys played on the teacher’s piano will illuminate on the student’s. You can also remotely select specific instruments on the student’s piano, essentially creating an ensemble at your command.

Work with students one-on-one or in any configuration.

You can work one-on-one with a student even if they’re sitting at the far end of the room. Or listen to all of your students simultaneously. Next, select one student and broadcast their playing to the entire class. Then you can hear every student playing at the same time.

Duo Mode splits instruments for two students per keyboard.

Select Yamaha instruments can be instantly split into two keyboards, each transposed to have their own middle-C. This way, students can easily work together in pairs, isolated from the rest of the class, and maximize your space at the same time. Versatility is important for teachers, because in today’s music labs, students need instruction on everything from arranging to recording.

Customize the arrangement of student icons.

Customize the arrangement of your student icons to match your classroom layout. You can add a photo to your icons and name them as well. It’s not only useful for instructors, but also for subs and assistants who may teach in your place from time to time. You can also store things like detailed notes for each student, lesson plans, and more.

Mute all student instruments when you require their undivided attention.

Large classes can be difficult to manage with so many students. The Mute-all button disables all student instruments and leaves your microphone active. This way you know they are listening to important announcements or instructions.

Instantly log attendance.

Take attendance quickly and easily at the beginning of a class so you can get started teaching right away. Simply ask students to press their CALL button and the roll sheet is captured. This can easily be exported to Excel as needed.

Set students to work together in custom Groups .

Custom Groups let you connect stronger students to help others, or let larger Groups play together as an ensemble. Think of these as virtual practice rooms isolated from the rest of the class.
