- Daniele Damiano
Damiano was born in 1961 in Asti, Italy, and graduated from Verdi Conservatory of Turin in 1982. Before coming to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, he was a principal of bassoon in the RAI (Italian Radio) Orchestra of Turin (1982-85) and in the Vienna Philharmonic (1985-87).
- Frits Damrow
Frits Damrow started his musical career as principal trumpet of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the Netherlands when he was 21 and still had to finish his studies at the Maastrichts Conservatory. After 9 years he was appointed as principal trumpet of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam holding this position from 1991 until 2010. Since 2009 he has been Professor of trumpet at the University of the Arts in Zurich, Switzerland (www.zhdk.ch) and since 2013 he is principal trumpet of the Sinfonieorchester Basel.
